A Creative Approach
Jessica Hintz Huff is a licensed professional counselor who graduated from the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute in August 2015, with a capstone program focused on creative art therapies, including art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, and theatre therapy. Prior to that, Jessica earned a Bachelor's of Science in Education with an emphasis in theatre.
With over five years of experience working in community mental health in Springfield, Jessica has honed her skills in providing high-quality, compassionate care to clients with a wide range of needs; especially with individuals with trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder. She has also pursued additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and obtained national certification from the national organization of EMDR, EMDRIA. Additionally, Jessica has received mental health training from Harvard University for the LGBTQAI+ community and is committed to being a strong ally for this wonderful community.
Jessica's unique approach to therapy is to meet clients where they are at and use creative techniques outside of the box to ensure the most accurate understanding of their needs. Her main objective is to be curious and not critical, creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
